CAS Brown Bag Series: Tyler Young

Friday, March 26, 2021, 02:00pm - 03:30pm

We are happy to have Tyler Young, Department of Geography, present us with the introduction to his dissertation proposal: "The Appropriation, Extirpation and Commodification of Peasant-Resource Relations in West Africa: Toward a Political Ecology of Praxis"

Graduate students from our interdisciplinary community will present written works in progress to workshop with our CAS faculty and graduate students. The written works (including dissertation chapters, conference papers, grant proposals, article drafts) will be pre-circulated to attendees, and each presenter will offer a brief summary before opening up the session to comments. This Brown Bag Series is open to Africanist graduate students across Rutgers' campuses, including New Brunswick, Newark, and Camden. We are excited to expand our vibrant community of graduate students, and while we miss the in-person interaction, the virtual format allows for wide participation. We hope you will be able to participate in the workshops to contribute valuable suggestions and insights.
