Documentary filmmaker Marie-Clemence Andriamonta-Paes will screen her film about the anti-colonial uprising of 1947 in Madagascar: Fahavalo
They were called FAHAVALO – enemies - because they rebelled in 1947 against French colonization in Madagascar. Today, Franco-Malagasy filmmaker Andriamonta-Paes takes us where the events took place, on a journey to meet the survivors, along the railroads, through the forest, from the Highlands to the east coast of Madagascar.
