Library Resources Rutgers Library Resources Visit the African Studies Research Guide at the Rutgers University Libraries page for information and resources. The Alexander Library is the largest of the Rutgers University Libraries, and contains the main research collection on African studies. Besides monograph titles, journals and databases subscriptions, the Alexander Library houses United States, New Jersey, foreign and international government documents collections, each of which has important materials pertinent to Africa and the African diaspora. Additional material is held at other Rutgers Libraries. The Library of Science and Medicine collects materials related to the physical sciences and technology, including government material. The Mabel Smith Douglass Library houses the primary collection for Women's Studies and the Performing Arts. The Art Library houses materials related to African art. The Music Library is a comprehensive bibliographic and sound recording resource that includes materials on the subject.
