Resources for K-12 Teachers & Businesses

The Center for African Studies promotes the understanding of Africa among many communities outside the University including businesses, the media, community groups and teachers. CAS has a particular commitment to contributing to the capacity of K-12 teachers to meet the needs of New Jersey’s students in world history, social studies, languages, and the arts. Our specialists can provide expertise on many different regions and many different topics. We also maintain a Resource Room with materials such as maps and CD-ROMS for teaching about Africa—see our inventory for some of the items K-12 teachers may borrow. Contact our faculty outreach coordinator for assistance learning more about how we can serve you.
